Ready to Play (Client's Dog), Guest Closet Door

Having done a number of wild African animals for this client's house, we were happy to also design and execute a portrait of their dog, as well.  Interestingly, this was the most challenging panel in this guest room closet door series.  We worked from several photos of the dog, and made the finished piece an amalgam of details from the provided images, plus a lot of careful modifications.  We placed the dog image on the panel so that it would appear as close as possible to the location the actual dog would be relative to a person if they were standing before him.  We made sure to capture his eagerness to play, in both his posture, and face.  Created in collaboration with Mike Nelson, Artistic Etchings Glass.
